Practice and Policy
In addition to legislative requirements such as the Care Homes Regulations and National Minimum Standards, we have our own comprehensive policies and procedures that set out the work practice at Newland Hurst.
Our Statement of Purpose sets out the organisational structure at Newland Hurst and clearly explains the criteria for admissions and referrals.
Meanwhile our Service User Guide provides information for prospective service users and their representatives. These documents are a sincere declaration of our intent - as opposed to being empty rhetoric to satisfy others.
Legislation dictates that all residential care homes must be inspected by the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) . At Newland Hurst we recognise that the process of inspection is an essential requirement to protect the interests of vulnerable people. We welcome constructive criticism and embrace any opportunities to further improve our high standards.
CSCI Inspection Reports are public documents and can viewed online or at Newland Hurst.
