Newland Hurst is staffed 24 hours per day by Support Workers who undertake training and development  to a high standard.  

Statutory training includes NVQ in Care, Learning Disability Qualification, Health & Safety, Administration of Medication, Fire Safety, Awareness of Abuse, Health & Safety, Infection Control and Food Hygiene.

Other training is provided as necessary, to match the learning needs of individual staff members, e.g. I.T., or to meet the needs of residents, e.g. dementia, epilepsy awareness.
